As you work your way through the site you will see what we mean when we say that: Gautier Is the Place For You! Welcome Signs Gautier is a young community of 18,000 people (more or less). The average age is 33 and for that reason we tend to focus on our youth. We have chosen this color scheme for this website to match the school colors for both the Gautier High School and Middle School. Gautier is usually considered a "Bedroom Community" meaning that most people who live in Gautier work in other cities along the Mississippi Gulf Coast. Due to having two major highways with easy access between the two, Gautier is an easy drive to Pascagoula, Ocean Springs, Moss Point, Biloxi, and Gulfport. For easy travel options Gautier is located an equal distance from the Mobile (AL) International Airport (airport code: MOB) and the Gulfport-Biloxi International Airport (airport code: GPT) which between them have nearly 50 flights a day on jet aircraft.
